Read through all your blogs for the course and reflect on (i) what you have learned, (ii) how your ideas may have changed throughout the course, and (iii) suggestions to improve the course for next year.
When I was a student, I did not bother reviewing what is on the curriculum. I just learned from whatever the teacher had decided to teach. Now that I am in the education program taking this course, I am beginning to fit into the teacher's role in looking at the curriculum. Through this course, I have gained a better understanding of BC's math curriculum and the related teaching pedagogy.
I also enjoyed solving some of the math problems assigned in this course. Although the teaching aspect is the most important skill that needs to be learned, as teachers, we should not neglect the knowledge and competency parts. Our knowledge and skills need to be inspected every once in a while to ensure we are confident in what we teach.
Similar suggestion to the 442 class, I wish we could have more interactions with each other in class (but I know it's hard because we are learning online). Hopefully, we can be back to normal soon.
Thank you Susan for the wonderful term!
Thanks Sukie, and happy new year!
